Fans of the Full Tilt Poker tournament Poker Million – which will be broadcasted on Sky Sports TV - will be happy to hear that the poker pro, James Akenhead, has qualified for his 3rd final table appearance in only 3 months.
There is no denying that Akenhead is a brilliant poker player. He's already qualified to be a member of the "November 9" – one of nine players who will take part at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event final table. The event is set to take place on the 7th of November, where players will compete for the $8.5 million first prize.
In October of this year, he qualified for the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event. When the game played out in London, he came ninth and won a quite respectable £66,533 (about $110,000).
Akenhead is one of Europe’s leading players, and qualified for the Poker Million final in a gruelling match that went down on October 9th. He's been in excellent form, and has become the subject of much online debate since managing to beat both Antonio Esfandiari and Tom Dwan in a single hand. Viewers will be able to watch the Poker Million's final table action when it's aired on Sky Sports TV in December this year.
Akenhead takes 338 000 poker chips into the final, and will play against 6 other players including Dag Martin Mikkelsen, Peter Vasiliou, and Taylor Caby.
The two last spots at the Poker Million final table are still up for grabs - these seats will be filled by two lucky online poker players. Full Tilt Poker is currently running a Poker Million Last Chance promotion, which offers the final table spots as top prizes.
