Rank Group Offers New Generation Bingo

The Rank group has had terrific success with their new generation club - the Mecca Bingo Beeston - and they're planning to expand this idea throughout the United Kingdom. Rank is a leading European gaming group which operates offline bingo halls, online bingo sites, and online bookmakers – among other gambling ventures.

Mecca Bingo (one of Rank's brands) sent out a press release stating they are hoping that the new generation bingo clubs will help to increase the customer traffic they've been receiving at their other bingo clubs. Mecca Bingo clubs in London, Scotland, and Birmingham have been earmarked for the new generation re-vamps, at an estimated investment of around £1.5 million per club (currently about $2.45 million).

One only has to look at the weekly attendance of the revamped Mecca Bingo Beeston to see that it’s been a huge success. This club has been entertaining five thousand customers per week – about three times the clientele foot traffic heading into other clubs.

This trading update has led to the Rank group's share price to rise by about three percent. G Brand casinos are seen as the new generation of super casinos, and Mecca Bingo appears to be expanding on the concept.

The Mecca Bingo Beeston club works because it's as much an entertainment venue as a bingo hall.
