How does it goes?
It goes like this. During the seven Thursdays leading up to the 888 Poker Open V, poker players from each country log into their country’s exclusive $1 All-In 888 Poker Open V Satellite. Every country has a certain national style when it comes to poker, and each country’s Thursday satellite is expected to play out quite differently - Which only makes the international final on Saturday that much more exciting!
The top five sharks from every nation – 60 in all – take it down to the wire on the Lord’s day, till the last man standing reaps the $8,500 package and the chance to represent his country at the 888 Poker Open V in Maidstone, England.
This goes on for the seven weeks Sept 4th through the 18th leading up to the actual 888 Poker Open V, Sept 4th through the 18th. Pacific Poker is giving away a total of $69,000 in prizes, so top finishers also make a nice addition to their poker bankroll and can try again for the top prize in next week’s national satellite.
The prestigious 888 Poker Open V tournament lasts an entire week, from 27 October to 7 November, and attracts the best of the best from everywhere, including plenty of celebrities. Cricket legend, Shane Warne, is already confirmed for the event, as are Jeff Fenech, Neil Channing, Roland de Wolf, Richard Ashby, and Andy Black.
