You’ve heard enough about the World Poker Crown these past few weeks, but did you hear the news?!? Canadian plumber Jack Hinchey (known at Pacific as Papajacks) took home $1,000,000 on May 9th, 2008 when he won the $3M World Poker Crown tournament in Peralada Castle, Spain.
Hinchey started the final table as chip leader and took home the winning pot! According to him, “this is a lot better than being in a sewage pit!”
Eight players competed at the final table after battling it out against 2,214 players online.
The 10 finalists played offline at the Peralada Castle, Spain. It was the first poker event in the world to be streamed live on the web with graphics and holecards.
888's next big tournament is the WSOP giveaway in which $17,000 packages are up for grabs, one of the the best in the industry today!
